We caught up with Cynthia to dive into her inspirations, creative process, and what’s next on her journey.

Hi Cynthia Laclé, how are you?

Hiii, all good!

Tell us, what is inspiring your music as we head into this new year?

Everything, actually. So many great artists have such epic tracks across different genres, from Teddy Swims to Anyma. I pick out little things that I like and let them guide me in my creative process.

What are the next big milestones you’re aiming to achieve during 2025?

Playing at more events, but I would really love to work with certain artists and labels. Maybe even getting a nice agency to add to the team.

What aspects of your artistry are you most focused on developing?

I am super focused on building myself as a brand with a specific style of production. There aren’t many female DJ/producers who mix Bigroom-Techno/Hard Techno. In fact, I am the only Dutch female artist producing the way I do, and I definitely want to make sure people notice that.

Are there specific elements or techniques you’re excited to experiment with in your productions this year?

I actually did something tricky in my latest production, and I’m probably going to get a lot of comments on that part. But in the end, it defines me and my music. I love putting weird elements in my tracks—things a musician might say aren’t “right.” But sometimes I just need to take a bit more risk. It makes producing so much more fun!

Do you have any plans to explore collaborations this year, and if so, are there any dream artists or producers you’d love to work with?

Yes, I’m always looking to work with other artists—there are so many amazing people I’d love to meet!

I would love to work with Novah, Nico Moreno, and Deborah de Luca, but my dream artist would be Will Sparks. That guy is just absolutely insane. However, I’m working on connecting with some Dutch legends, so hopefully I can make that happen.

How do you approach creating music that balances your Techno foundation with your evolving sonic identity?

That is a good question.

I actually combine two genres, both of which have their own specific dos and don’ts when it comes to their definitions. But by combining them, I give myself a bit more freedom to create what I want.

I use specific sounds in my tracks, like screeches—they have to be there! I also have a few other sonic details that always need to be present, and I think all of these combined are part of my identity. Beyond that, how I mix the sounds, where I place them, and even how the track is mastered—all of these technical aspects come together to form my specific sound.

What would you say drives your creative focus and inspires the sonic quality of your tracks?

I always want my tracks to have a high energy level. That’s the reason I started producing in the first place—because when you play your set, or when you watch another artist you love, time just stops. You get caught in the moment, and that’s something I want to create with my music.

Because of that, my tracks are always high-energy and packed with elements. There’s so much happening in them! But they reflect who I am, and they reflect what music does to me. That will always drive me to be creative.

However, the more I produce, the harder it is to be happy with a track because, as a producer, you’re always growing, and you want the quality of your tracks to evolve too. It takes more time to finish a track these days, but I think that’s a good thing. At the end of the day, you can’t force creativity.

With a long list of performances across various countries already to your name, are there any live dates fans can anticipate soon?

The tour dates will be launched soon on my socials, so stay tuned!

Finally, what are you most looking forward to for 2025?

Making music, sharing all my new music, and most of all, receiving feedback from all of you. I’m really excited to hear what you think—it gives me energy and pushes me to work harder.
