Swedish dance music sensation Lucas Estrada joined forces with vocalist and songwriter Oaks and electrifying trio Paradigm on his new melodic house single ‘Love in Vain’. Set for release on 6 September via NITRON, the single is a nostalgic love ballad laced with melancholy and hope.
Lucas is the founder of indie record label LoudKult which boasts over 1 billion streams, and millions of followers worldwide. He has collaborated with acclaimed artists such as Grammy-nominated Laura White, Clara Mae and Wankelmut, while headlining festivals like Amsterdam Dance Event and Tinderbox Festival.
Revered for his signature blend of pop, house and dance his influence is ever-expanding as he’s currently sitting at 700 million Spotify streams to date.
Oaks is the alter-ego of folk and electro pop singer-songwriter Winona Oak. As Oaks, she has collaborated with world-renowned artists including The Chainsmokers and Alan Walker. Having recently signed to indie imprint Nettwerk Records, she’s known for her signature heartfelt vocals and brutally honest lyrics.
The enigmatic trio Paradigm are based in Australia and Germany. They have a staggering 250 million Spotify streams and counting, and have worked with the likes of Afrojack and NOTD.
‘Love in Vain’ is a striking culmination of each of the artist’s strengths. Oaks’ voice is both soothing and hazy, with a compelling strength that radiates throughout. The track, while lively, carries a heavy undercurrent that reflects the pain of the lyrics. It features playful synths and an ear-worm melody that can seamlessly hold a dancefloor while still resonating on an emotional level.
