On October 1st, 2025, Parallelle unveiled ‘Searching For The Groove’, a teaser from their first full-length 11th Avenue, dropping October 29 through their own record label, FOLDER in Lisbon. The brothers Thomas and Julien de Bie, originally from southern France and formerly based in Amsterdam before settling in Lisbon, have shaped their sound since 2017 by fusing jazz, soul, hip-hop, funk, techno, house, and world influences. They incorporate live elements and field recordings from their travels, emphasizing collaboration as a core philosophy that turns music into a universal conversation. As musicians, curators, and sound designers for fashion and film, Parallelle extend their vision with 11th Avenue‘s aesthetic, crafted by director Sarah Bassett and shot by Dani Bastidas. They’re also partnering with emerging streetwear label Ciaran for merch at ADE this October, and planning a worldwide tour featuring cozy listening sessions, custom DJ hybrids, immersive narratives, and a vinyl run to cap the release.

With its foundation in syncopated drums that tip to 2-step’s irregular patterns, the single stitches house melodies alongside soul-tinged falsetto lines, punctuated by live saxophone and key swells that add a funky warmth. The result is a smooth, inviting beat that bridges classic analogue vibes with modern energy, showcasing the album’s blend of instrumental jazz touches and vocal layers from Thomas which add an undeniable charm to this song.

Parallelle revealed: “This track is about the endless search for the groove of life. And what is that groove? It’s yours to define. For some, it’s love. For others, success. Maybe joy, maybe freedom. Whatever it is, it’s the rhythm that keeps you moving forward. We met Benji (Sacks) when he was renting our studio in Amsterdam and became close friends. This track started as a studio jam and has quickly become one of our favorites from the album. It has a feel-good, late summer energy.
