Out now, November 28, Melbourne’s Luke Alessi and William Kiss drop ‘Ride The Rhythm’ on Life and Death, the label DJ Tennis built into a go-to for moody, driving house and techno. The two producers already linked up on a joint EP for Peggy Gou’s Gudu Records this year, and this new single picks up right where they left off. Alessi has been on a hot streak with his After Five EP and the ‘Yes Bby’ team-up with Demi Riquísimo, both of which landed on the same label and still get plenty of play. William Kiss isn’t slowing down either. He’s put records out on Rekids, UNCAGE, Club Bad, and Carl Cox’s 23rd Century. He’s spun at Watergate, Pikes Ibiza, Beyond The Valley, and clubs all over Europe and Asia.

At its core, ‘Ride The Rhythm’ is a masterclass in tension and release. Crisp dub chords lay down a swung, heads-down groove before a writhing acid line snakes through the mix, locked in by a trippy, mantra-like vocal that pulls you deeper. It’s the kind of record that feels understated on the first listen and completely relentless by the third, and it is already getting heavy love from Peggy Gou, Jamie Jones, and Hot Since 82.

Clean, driving, and perfectly judged, ‘Ride The Rhythm’ is the latest proof that when these two share studio time, the results speak directly to the floor. Essential listening for anyone chasing that 4 a.m. rush.
