It is evident that Eastern Hollows, although hailing from Brooklyn, are big into their 90’s british bands. The album has really managed to replicate the sounds of this nostalgic era, sounding similar at times to Manchester giants The Stone Roses. However this is no tribute band and are by no means clinging onto a movement of the past, they play with a certain conviction and originality that makes them recognisable instantly amongst other bands. The stand out track for me is ‘Summer’s Dead’ which has a certain charm which makes it probably the strongest track on the album.
